We offer quality slabs, locally felled and dried in our solar kiln. We carry the following species: Pecan, Spalted Pecan, Beech, Cherry, Walnut, Cedar and Hickory. Our lumber can be used for any project you are creating, whether residential or commercial.
We recover felled trees in our local area of Gaston and Lincoln counties. We saw slabs using our chain saw mill. We air dry our wood after it is sawn. The wood air drys for about one year to 18 months, depending on the species, then it goes into the solar kiln for final drying before it is put into production.
A solar kiln, made from recycled glass panels, is used to gently speed up our drying time in an environmentally friendly way. The kiln produces “slow, sun-dried wood.”
We have our own portable sawmill on site to saw large logs up to 54” wide. Additionally we are partners with a band saw mill and sell large slabs.
